About Alan
| Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Alan Ackmann received his B.A. in English from the University of Evansville in 2001, where he was non-fiction editor at The Evansville Review for the 1999 edition, and fiction editor for the 2001 edition. After graduating at Evansville, he studied in the nationally renowned graduate program at the University of Arkansas, earning his MFA in fiction in 2006. He is currently the fiction editor at Relief: A Quarterly Christian Expression, and is working on a collection of short stories, as well as his first novel. He teaches in the First Year Writing program at Depaul University in Chicago. |
